ColemanRX is a website that you can save to your home screen so it opens like an app.
It is free. You do not need an account, a password, or the App Store. It takes about two minutes.
Tap the device you are using below and follow the numbered steps in order.
You already have it installed. You opened ColemanRX from its own icon,
so there is nothing to do here. You can close this box.
The address of the website is colemanrx.pages.dev
(you will type this in step 2 if you are not already on the page).
iPhone or iPad — uses the Safari app
Open the Safari app. On your home screen, find the blue icon that looks like a compass and is named
Safari. Tap it once.
If you are already reading this inside Safari, skip to step 3.
Go to the website. Tap the long bar that shows a web address (on iPhone it is usually at the very
bottom of the screen; on iPad it is at the top). The keyboard opens. Type
colemanrx.pages.dev exactly as shown, then tap the blue Go key on the keyboard.
Wait until the ColemanRX page appears.
Find the Share button. It is a small square with an arrow pointing straight up out of the top
.
On iPhone it is in the bar at the bottom of the screen. On iPad it is at the top right.
Don't see it? Tap once on the address bar area or scroll the page up a little so the bars
come back. On newer iPhones you may first need to tap the button with three dots
(•••) next to the address, then tap Share.
Tap the Share button. A white panel slides up from the bottom of the screen.
Scroll down in that panel by sliding your finger upward on it, until you see
Add to Home Screen (it has a small square with a + inside it). Tap it.
Still not there? Scroll to the very bottom of the panel, tap Edit Actions…,
find Add to Home Screen, tap the green + next to it, then tap Done and try again.
Tap Add. A small screen shows the ColemanRX icon and its name. If you see a switch called
Open as Web App, leave it turned on (green). Tap Add in the top right corner.
Open it from your home screen. Go back to your home screen (swipe up from the bottom edge, or press the
Home button). Look for the new ColemanRX icon with the sailor picture — it may be on the last
page of apps, so swipe left to find it. Tap it. ColemanRX opens full screen, like an app.
Using Chrome on your iPhone? It may work, but Safari is the most reliable. If you don't
see Add to Home Screen in Chrome, copy the address, open Safari, and start again at step 2.
Android phone or tablet — uses the Chrome app
Open the Chrome app. Find the round icon with red, yellow and green around a blue dot, named
Chrome, and tap it.
If you are already reading this inside Chrome, skip to step 3.
Go to the website. Tap the bar at the top that says Search or type web address. Type
colemanrx.pages.dev exactly as shown and tap the Go or Enter key
(sometimes an arrow) on the keyboard. Wait until the ColemanRX page appears.
Open Chrome's menu. Tap the button with three dots stacked on top of each other
(⋮) in the top right corner of the screen. A list drops down.
Tap Install app (on some phones it says Add to Home screen). If you have to choose, pick
Install.
Chrome may also show a bar at the bottom of the screen that says Install ColemanRX —
tapping that does the same thing.
Confirm. A small box appears with the ColemanRX icon. Tap Install (or Add). If it asks
whether to add it to your home screen, tap Add or Add automatically.
Open it. Go to your home screen (or your list of all apps) and tap the new ColemanRX icon. It opens
full screen, like an app.
Using a Samsung phone's own "Internet" browser? Tap the menu (three lines, bottom right),
then Add page to → Home screen. Or open Chrome and use the steps above.
Windows computer or laptop — uses Chrome or Edge
Open Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Click the Start button (the Windows logo in the bottom left
corner of the screen), type Chrome or Edge, and press the Enter key.
Edge comes with every Windows computer, so use Edge if you don't have Chrome.
Go to the website. Click once in the long bar at the very top of the window (the address bar).
Type colemanrx.pages.dev and press Enter. Wait for the ColemanRX page to load.
Look for the install button. At the right end of the address bar there is a small icon of a computer
screen with a down arrow (or a square with a plus). Hold your mouse over it — it says
Install ColemanRX or App available. Click it.
Can't find it? In Chrome: click the three dots (⋮) at the top right →
Cast, save, and share → Install page as app…. In Edge: click the three dots
(⋯) at the top right → Apps → Install this site as an app.
Click Install. A small box pops up with the ColemanRX icon. Click the blue Install button.
Use it. ColemanRX opens in its own window. From now on, open it from the Start menu (type
ColemanRX) or from the desktop icon. You can right-click its icon in the taskbar and choose
Pin to taskbar so it is always one click away.
Mac computer or laptop — uses Safari or Chrome
With Safari (the blue compass app that comes with every Mac):
Open Safari. Click the compass icon in the row of icons at the bottom of the screen (the Dock). Or
press ⌘ Command + Space, type Safari, and press Return.
Go to the website. Click in the address bar at the top of the window, type
colemanrx.pages.dev, and press Return. Wait for the page to load.
Add it to the Dock. In the menu bar at the very top of the screen, click File, then click
Add to Dock…Don't see Add to Dock? Your Mac needs a newer system (macOS Sonoma or later). Use the
Chrome steps below instead.
Click Add. A small box shows the ColemanRX name and icon. Click Add.
Open it. The ColemanRX icon now sits in your Dock at the bottom of the screen. Click it any time.
With Google Chrome:
Open Chrome, click the address bar, type colemanrx.pages.dev, and press Return.
At the right end of the address bar, click the small install icon (a screen with a down arrow). If it
isn't there: click the three dots (⋮) at the top right → Cast, save, and share →
Install page as app…
Click Install. ColemanRX opens in its own window and appears in your Applications folder and Launchpad.
After it's installed
Leave it open for about a minute the first time. It is quietly saving everything to your device. When the
small label in the bottom corner says Ready offline, it will work even with no internet — on a bus, in a
hospital basement, anywhere.
Always open it the same way (from the same icon, on the same device). Your scores and where you stopped
reading are saved on that device only. A different phone or browser starts fresh.
Getting updates: when there is a new version, the app tells you. Close it completely and open it again.
Stuck? The most common fixes: make sure you typed the address exactly (no spaces, no
“www”); don't use a Private or Incognito window, because those can't install apps; and on
iPhone use Safari. You can also just keep using it as a normal website — everything works the same.
